Pain

I am the type of guy who will not hurt someone even if they are hurting me. I would rather hurt myself than another person. a perfect example is the pain that i am in right now. my right hand bleeds on almost a daily basis and my knuckles are swollen. but i would rather be in pain myself than have had hurt someone else. Do you Believe this is a good thing? please comment
